Every 18 months, the north (Rahu) and south (Ketu) nodes transit into new signs in the Vedic calendar, signaling the perfect time to work with their energy for the purpose of transformation. But also at the exact time of this clearing, the nodes are forming a particular strong planetary affliction called "kala sarpa dosha", revealing within individuals and the collective heightened worry, uncertainty about the future, and destabilization. In Vedic Astrology, the north and south nodes of the moon are referred to respectively as Rahu and Ketu.  These are non-physical points in space, created by the intersections of moon and the apparent path of the Sun.  Though they are non-physical, their influence is considered to be very strong, perhaps even stronger than any other planet, including Saturn!
