"Earth School Sucks! I'm So Done With This Incarnation!" — Restore Your Will to Stay and Finish Your Mission, Fully and Joyfully, Even as the World Struggles

For everyone on a conscious spiritual path who has looked at the world's suffering and, somewhere in themselves, wished to be done with it all: we clear the exhausted desire to escape, and restore your grounded, integrated will to stay — to be fully, even joyfully, here, and a beneficial presence, without losing your humanity as you rise.

Have you ever felt, in an honest moment, that you were done with being here? Not in crisis, exactly — but bone-tired of it. You look at the state of the world, at how much suffering there is, at how much seems to be coming to a head all at once, and something in you says: I am so done with this. This must be my last incarnation. I just want out.

If you are consciously on a spiritual path, you may feel this more than most. The clearer your connection to Spirit becomes, the more the world's problems can feel unbearable by contrast, and the stronger the wish grows to leave it all behind. It is not weakness, and it is not failure — it is what happens when a sensitive, awakening soul takes a long look at a heavy world.

Your spiritual path, though, is everywhere and forever — always growing. Anywhere there is creation, physical or non-physical, there is contrast and duality, and a way to see the truth of Spirit through it. So escape, as we usually picture it, isn't really available anywhere, and real growth was never meant to be an escape. But that longing is pointing at something real: what you actually want is not to leave, but to escape into the oneness and felt aliveness of Spirit, and into a true mastery of your own life — not Spirit as a movement upward and away, but Spirit as the aliveness of your own body and existence, flowing clear and free. Joshua David Stone called this integrated ascension: to rise and expand fully, and to stay fully, humanly here at the same time. Not up and gone — up and grounded. To hold the truth of your being while seeing everything exactly as it is, staying a beneficial presence and not letting life pull you under: that is mastery, and the truest escape there is.

Part of staying is being willing to replenish yourself. Many on this path carry an old vow to exhaust themselves — a sense that they must pour out until there is nothing left, that rest is not allowed, that their worth or their service requires their own depletion. We clear those vows, and restore your willingness to restore yourself. Real practices and technologies exist now for healers and light workers to replenish and heal their bodies and lives, but they only help if we use them, come back to basics, and stop imagining that we are too evolved to still tend our own humanity: our nervous system, our body, our rest, our nutrition.

Sometimes the wish to be done with incarnation is really a kind of spiritual bypass — we take an unmet human need and mistake it for a spiritual calling. When we're not tending our own pain or basic needs, and our nervous system slips further out of balance, that exhaustion can start to feel like a message that we're meant to be done with this life. But it is never a call to leave. It's a call to come back — to yourself, to this moment, to the ground under your feet — and to become a descended master: bringing all that light down into this body and this life, and mastering being fully human.

This is the fifth of the eight-part Will to Live series. Together we have been clearing the inherited, ancestral "I do not want to be here" — the suffering worn as identity, the fear of being seen, and the resistance to joy we cleared last time. Here we restore the will to stay itself, and the series moves on from here to releasing the guilt of living well, setting down the weight of ancestral "shoulds," and finally anchoring a new legacy of vitality, freedom, and joy. The whole arc is one thing: reclaiming a full, embodied yes to being alive.

In this clearing, we will clear the exhausted desire to escape this world and be done with incarnation, heal the trauma and weariness beneath it, and restore your grounded will to stay — to be fully, and even joyfully, here, a beneficial presence, and free to finish your mission without losing your humanity as you rise.

What we will clear

  • The exhausted wish to escape — the desire to be done, to check out, to leave your body and your life ("this is my last incarnation, I just want out")

  • Incarnational trauma — the shock and resistance the soul took on in coming into a body

  • Overwhelm at the world's suffering — the fed-up, frustrated, exhausted response of a sensitive, awakening soul

  • The pull toward disembodiment — floating above your life instead of living in it

  • Losing touch with your humanity and purpose as you evolve — the belief that ascension means abdication, rising away from the earth rather than serving it

  • Vows to exhaust yourself — the sense that rest is not allowed, exhaustion held as obligatory suffering, and the belief that you are too evolved to still tend your body and nervous system

  • The subconscious programs and spiritual bypass that mistake exhaustion and unmet needs for a calling to be done with this life

What we will reveal & anchor

  • The will to stay and finish your mission — a grounded, willing yes to being here

  • Integrated ascension — fully expanded and fully, humanly here: grounded, embodied mastery as a descended master, your humanity intact

  • The capacity to let go of attachment and stay present in the middle of contrast

  • The ability to feel joy and do good even while suffering surrounds you (building on Clearing 4)

  • Your purpose as a beneficial presence, helping make of this world the heaven it is meant to be — here and now

  • Your readiness to replenish and restore yourself — tending your body, nervous system, and nutrition, with the eyes of your being open to the integrated reality where spirit and body are cared for together

Because this touches tender ground: this clearing works at the spiritual and soul level, on the ancestral and incarnational weariness that can dim the will to live. If what you are feeling is a real, present despair about being alive, this kind of work is not a substitute for human support — please reach out to someone you trust, or to a professional. You are not meant to carry it alone.

Working together as a group, we will clear the weariness that makes you want to leave, and restore your grounded will to stay and finish your mission — so you can be fully here, uplifted and uplifting, expanded and embodied at once.
