Clearing for "The Saboteur" Survival Archetype

Clearing for: Why/How do you Sabotage Yourself, Trying to Stay "Safe and Small", Blocking Your Own Success?

CLEARING 3 OF THE 4 CAROLINE MYSS "SURVIVAL ARCHETYPES":
INNATE SURVIVAL MECHANISMS THAT WE MUST TRANSFORM SO THEY STOP CONTROLLING OUR LIVES
BASED ON SURVIVAL FEARS, AND SO THEY CAN BECOME OUR GREATEST SUPPORTS & ALLIES

What happens when you want to try something new, or open to a new -- and even exciting -- possibility?

Does your whole energy go with it, flowing with the new manifestation?

Or do you get stuck in "what ifs", worry, and stopping before you even get started?

Each of us has a part of our innate survival mechanism called "The Saboteur". It is innate to each of us, to protect us from risks that may hurt us. We learn this mechanism in childhood, when we're first encountering the consequences of the physical world.

It's an important part of our survival mechanism in the physical world. However, in its unevolved state, it can stop us from making choices that actually empower us, stop us from taking inspired action, and keep us spinning our wheels, stuck in worst-case scenarios and fears.

We cannot -- and should not -- try to eliminate this survival archetype, as it's part of our innate human makeup, and is important to survival. However, by using spiritual clearing work, we can transmute the unevolved form of this inner archetype into the more evolved form.

In its more evolved form, The Saboteur helps us develop discernment, to help guide us away from non-life-supporting actions. The Evolved Saboteur encourages us to follow our intuition. It supports our self-actualization, and choices that are based on what's best for us.

If you would like a clearing to help an overactive survival mechanism to calm down, and transmute its energy and focus, so that you're not as likely to be inwardly stopped before you can even start, this clearing is for you.

You don't necessarily have to have done the other 2 clearings in this series in order to benefit from this one.

Here are our points of focus for this clearing:

The Saboteur - Guardian of Choice, Truth, & Self-Esteem

  • The Saboteur fills your mind with sabotaging thoughts, which when acted upon by the Victim archetype leads you to make choices that impede your own success.

  • Established at an early age to help keep you "safe and small", to help you maintain survival. The driving impulses around this are centered around fear.

  • The Saboteur's Core Challenge: the fear of inviting change into your life that requires you to respond in a positive way to opportunities to shape and deepen your spirit.

  • Operating in worry and "what ifs". Operating in worst-case scenarios.

  • The Saboteur is associated with betrayal (of self).

  • Question for reflection and clearing: How do I undermine myself? Why do I undermine myself?

  • How do I stand in my own way, undermining my own plans because of fear?

  • The Saboteur's issues all emerge from low self-esteem that causes us to make choices that block our own empowerment and success.

  • The Saboteur manifests as self-destructive behavior or the desire to undermine others.

  • It makes Itself known to you through disruptions, to help you learn the many ways you undermine yourself.

  • Situations where The Saboteur may come into play: the creation of optimistic plans in general, beginning a new relationship (romantic or working)

  • What fears have the most authority over me? (research)

  • What happens when a fear overtakes me?  Does it make me silent?

  • Have I let creative opportunities pass me by?

  • The Evolved Version of the Saboteur provides discernment to guide away from non-life-supporting actions, towards life-supporting actions.  It takes courage to follow your intuition, and this is done through gut instincts that direct you to take action based on hunches rather than logic.

  • The Saboteur eventually evolves into: a co-creator by providing discernment, not condemnation. It becomes the lover of self, the discerner of truth, and a supporter of conscious choice.
